Why does it have two sides?
The two-sided design serves multiple purposes:
- It separates the processing of negative emotions from celebrating positive moments, helping you navigate your feelings with more clarity.
- You get the benefits of both an anxiety journal and a gratitude journal in one.
- If you prefer to keep the anxiety side discreet, simply flip the journal to the joy side on your table.
How do I use this Flip Journal?
The Flip Journal is designed to meet you where you are emotionally. You can approach it in two ways:
- Start with one side, then move to the other. Use the Anxiety side to process stressful or anxious thoughts first. Once you feel lighter, flip to the Joy side to reflect on positive moments from your day.
- Write on just one side for that day. Depending on your mood, unpack thought patterns or focus on positivity.
Can this journal replace therapy?
Note that this journal does not replace formal therapy or overall mental health treatment. While it uses CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques like cognitive restructuring, and was developed with guidance from a licensed therapist, it is designed to be a self-help tool, or a complement to your therapy practice. If you are struggling with a psychological condition, it’s best to talk to a therapist or other qualified professional.
